Beautifully designed and expertly built, the 8′ x 5’6 Shire Loft 2 Storey Kids Wooden Playhouse (2.40m x 1.67m) gives children a safe and secure garden retreat for their outdoor play.This wooden Wendy house is constructed from premium 12mm tongue and groove shiplap cladding on a 34x34mm frame, making it robust, durable and completely weather resistant. The floor is also 12mm tongue and groove, providing a hardwearing surface to cope with years of play. The apex roof is 11mm OSB board and includes a weatherproof felt cover, overhang, scalloped barge boards and an attractive finial. The wood’s smooth-planed finish further enhances what is a beautiful appearance.Entry is gained via a single door with a magnetic safety catch and small, diamond-shaped window. Further light and ventilation are provided by the 3 single-glazed opening windows to the lower floor. A robust wooden ladder leads to the loft area, which includes another window and even more play space.All of the windows are glazed with shatterproof styrene and the upper window is fixed for added safety. The windows come with decorative shutters, while 2 window boxes add a further element of charm. Two air vents are also fitted, ensuring a comfortable environment for children to play. This playhouse complies to BS EN 71-1:2014 safety standards for added peace of mind.The Croft Playhouse is supplied dip treated with a 10-year anti-rot guarantee, when supported with annual retreatment. An upgrade to a top coat is available for this playhouse. This top coat is a wood stain that provides a waterproof coating to resist algal and fungal attack. It nourishes the wood to provide year-round colour and protection. Two coats are applied, by the manufacturer, to both the interior and exterior of the playhouse. As a dip-treated garden building. it is usually recommended that the customer apply a treatment upon assembly; this top coat eliminates the need to do so.
