The 6′ x 5′ Shire Pixie Children’s/ Kids’ Wooden Garden Playhouse (1.79m x 1.68m) is a charming wooden Wendy house, expertly built and boasting a number of impressive features.Constructed from 12mm tongue and groove cladding, well-known for its weather resistance, durability and strength, this children’s playhouse further benefits from robust 34x34mm framing. The floor is 12mm tongue and groove too, ready to withstand years of children’s games and footfall. The apex roof is 11mm OSB board, finished in felt to ensure a weatherproof interior. Its decorative scalloped edge and finials add an attractive touch. The overhang of the roof allows for a small veranda framed by the 2 side railings.The entrance door features a large framed window and a cottage-style ring latch. Two further large opening windows allow light and fresh air to flood into the interior, as well as completing the playhouse’s pretty appearance. The glazing is made from styrene, which is virtually shatter proof and far safer than glass.This kids’ playhouse comes with a beautiful smooth-planed finish, rounded safety edges and complies with BS5665 EN71 safety standards.The Shire Pixie is supplied dip treated with a 10-year anti-rot guarantee, when supported with annual retreatment. An upgrade to a top coat is available for this playhouse. This top coat is a wood stain that provides a waterproof coating to resist algal and fungal attack. It nourishes the wood to provide year-round colour and protection. Two coats are applied, by the manufacturer, to both the interior and exterior of the playhouse. As a dip-treated garden building, it is usually recommended that the customer apply a treatment upon assembly; this top coat eliminates the need to do so.
