The Command Post Wooden 6×4 Playhouse from Shire is an exciting playhouse for adventurous kids. Water gun ports and observation points ensure that the enemy is held at bay or the secret club house is kept guarded. The wooden playhouse includes three fixed windows and two opening ports. Windows are supplied with safety styrene glazing and mitred profile beading – no awkward cutting required. The single crawl-entry door is 795mm (2’7″) high and features a magnetic catch. The walls and floor of this wooden playhouse are constructed from tongue and groove boarding for a weather tight, hard wearing finish that will withstand years of play. The cladding is supported by a 34 x 34mm framework, while the roof is OSB finished in felt. The Command Post is supplied dip treated with a 10-year anti-rot guarantee, when supported with annual retreatment. An upgrade to a top coat is available for this playhosue. This top coat is a wood stain that provides a waterproof coating to resist algal and fungal attack. It nourishes the wood to provide year-round colour and protection. Two coats are applied, by the manufacturer, to both the interior and exterior of the shed. As a dip-treated garden bulding, it is usually recommended that the customer apply a treatment upon assembly; this top coat eliminates the need to do so. The colour of this stain is called “gold” which is an orangey-yellow.To offer peace of mind, this playhouse is constructed to child safety standards using quality planed softwood from sustainable sources.
